Mushrooms

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Set the mushroom caps aside.

Make the Sausage Filling

  1. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 3

    Add Garlic

Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 4

    Mix in Cheese and Seasoning

Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and ground black pepper until well combined.

Stuff the Mushrooms

  1. 5

    Fill the Mushroom Caps

Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil into a baking dish. Place the mushroom caps in the dish and fill each cap generously with the sausage filling.

Make the Cream Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, garlic powder, and salt over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sauce is warmed through and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.

Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. 7

    Bake

Pour the cream sauce over the stuffed mushrooms. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden.

  2. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Sausage Stuffed Shrooms!
