Preparation of Ingredients
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken tenderloins with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Clean the wild mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth. Slice them if they are large.

Cooking the Chicken Marsala
- 4
Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken tenderloins and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 5
Cook the Mushrooms
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the wild mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until they soften and release their moisture.
- 6
Deglaze with Marsala Wine
Pour in the sweet Marsala wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Allow the wine to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- 7
Combine Chicken and Sauce
Return the chicken tenderloins to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the flavors meld.
