Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. Some lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook the Waffles

Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or a brush of oil. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron, close the lid, and cook until golden brown (about 4-5 minutes, depending on your waffle iron).

  6. 6

    Serve the Waffles

Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and keep them warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining batter.

Topping Assembly

  1. 7

    Prepare Berries

Wash and prepare the fresh berries by removing any stems or leaves. Slice strawberries if needed.

  2. 8

    Assemble the Dish

Place cooked waffles on plates, top with a generous portion of fresh berries, drizzle with maple syrup, and add a dollop of whipped cream on top.

  3. 9

    Serve Immediately

Serve the waffles warm and enjoy!
