Method

Baked Beans Directions

1

Prepare the Beans

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Drain and rinse the canned navy beans, then set them aside.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and crumble it into small pieces.

3

Sauté the Onion

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

4

Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, crumbled bacon, sautéed onions, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and water. Mix well.

5

Bake

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly and slightly caramelized.

6

Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your baked beans!
