Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Salmon
Remove the salmon fillet from the refrigerator and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 3
Sear the Salmon
Carefully place the salmon fillet skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving it, allowing the skin to crisp up.
- 4
Flip the Salmon
Using a spatula, gently flip the salmon fillet over and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness.
- 5
Add Lemon and Herbs
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired. Cook for another minute.
- 6
Serve
Remove the salmon from the skillet and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
