Muddle the Sugar
In an Old Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and douse it with Angostura bitters. Add the water and muddle until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the Bourbon
Pour the bourbon over the muddled sugar mixture.

Add Ice
Fill the glass with large ice cubes.

Stir
Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and drop it into the glass. Add a cherry for garnish.
