Prepare the Lemon Juice
Juice the fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice, removing any seeds.

Make the Simple Syrup
In a saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and salt. Stir well to combine.

Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until it is thoroughly chilled.
