Method

Cheesecake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.

  2. 2

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until blended after each addition.

  4. 4

    Combine and Pour

Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.

  6. 6

    Cool and Chill

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for another hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

  7. 7

    Serve with Berries

Before serving, top the cheesecake with fresh berries as desired. Slice and enjoy!
