Preparation

  1. 1

Trim and Halve the Brussel Sprouts

Wash the brussel sprouts under cold water, remove any yellow or damaged leaves, and trim the stem ends. Cut each brussel sprout in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Prepare Peppadew Peppers

Drain the peppadew peppers if they are jarred. If they are whole, slice them into small rings or halves.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from pan, crumble, and set aside. Leave the bacon drippings in the skillet.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Fry the Brussel Sprouts

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the olive oil and increase the heat to medium-high. Add the halved brussel sprouts cut side down. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the cut side is golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Peppadew Peppers

Once the brussel sprouts are crispy, add the sliced peppadew peppers to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  3. 6

    Season and Add Cheese

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and sprinkle the crumbled bacon and Parmesan cheese on top. Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
