Method

Preparation of Cheese and Toppings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels, then chop into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Shred the Cheese

Grate or shred the American, Pepper Jack, Smoked Cheddar, and Swiss cheese options if not pre-shredded. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare Fried Cheese Curds

If using frozen cheese curds, follow package instructions to fry or bake them until golden and crispy.

Making the Cheese Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

  2. 5

    Add Flour

Whisk in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

  3. 6

    Pour in Milk

Gradually add 250ml of milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps, and cook until the sauce thickens.

  4. 7

    Add Cheese

Stir in 200g of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 8

    Layer the Cheese

On a serving platter, layer the prepared cheeses: American, Pepper Jack, Smoked Cheddar, and Swiss.

  2. 9

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle chopped bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and feta cheese over the layered cheeses.

  3. 10

    Finish with Cheese Sauce

Drizzle the warm cheese sauce generously over the entire platter. Add fried cheese curds on top for an extra crunch.
