Cedar Plank Marinade and Salmon
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Soak the Cedar Plank
Submerge the cedar plank in water for at least 1-2 hours to prevent it from catching fire on the grill.
- 2
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt.
- 3
Marinate the Salmon
Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 4
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium heat. Make sure the grates are clean.
- 5
Prepare the Cedar Plank
Remove the cedar plank from the water and pat it dry. Place it on the grill for about 3-5 minutes until it starts to crackle and smoke.
- 6
- 7
Add Fresh Dill
In the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle the fresh chopped dill over the salmon.
- 8
Serve
Once cooked, carefully remove the cedar plank from the grill and serve the salmon directly from the plank for a rustic presentation.
