Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Dough

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle or circle, about 1/4 inch thick.

2

Sauté the Spinach

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

3

Assemble the Schiacciata

Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough. Top with the sautéed spinach, then crumble the goat cheese over the top.

4

Bake

Fold the edges of the dough over slightly to create a crust. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is slightly melted.

5

Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
