Veal Parmigiana Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions for Veal Parmigiana

  1. 1

    Prepare the Veal

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the veal cutlets with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Veal

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Fry the Cutlets

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded veal cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce. Place the fried veal cutlets on top, then cover each cutlet with more marinara sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
