Directions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccini
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
- 2
Sauté the Garlic and Prosciutto
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced prosciutto and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it becomes slightly crispy.
- 3
Make the Cream Sauce
Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-4 minutes. Add in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccini to the skillet and toss well to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- 5
Finish and Serve
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
