Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broccoli

Wash the broccoli florets thoroughly under cold running water. Cut them into bite-sized pieces if necessary.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  4. 4

    Cook the Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir to coat them in the garlic oil. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.

  5. 5

Add Red Pepper Flakes and Lemon Juice

If using, sprinkle the red pepper flakes over the broccoli and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to combine and cook for an additional minute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish.
