For the Chicken Wings
For the Sauce (Buffalo Sauce)
Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve crispy wings.
- 2
Prepare the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- 3
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
Preparing the Buffalo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the stick of unsalted butter.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Stir well to combine.
- 7
Simmer the Sauce
Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Tossing and Serving
- 8
Coat the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the hot buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- 9
Serve
Serve the wings immediately with your choice of sides such as celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
