Steak Tagliata

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the ribeye steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Make the Gremolata

In a small bowl, combine the chopped parsley, minced garlic, and lemon zest. Mix well and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Smoked Tomato Agrodolce

In a saucepan, combine the smoked tomatoes, red wine vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 4

    Fry the Bar Fries

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Add the cut russet potatoes in batches and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Slice the rested steak and arrange it on a plate. Spoon the gremolata over the steak and drizzle the smoked tomato agrodolce on top. Serve with bar fries on the side.
