Beef Sliders

Caramelized Onion

Taleggio Cheese

Method

Beef Sliders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making them slightly larger than the gluten-free buns as they will shrink while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Caramelized Onion

  1. 4

    Slice the Onion

Peel and thinly slice the yellow onion.

  2. 5

    Caramelize the Onion

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are soft and golden brown. Add balsamic vinegar in the last 5 minutes of cooking and stir to combine.

Taleggio Cheese

  1. 6

    Prepare the Taleggio Cheese

Cut the Taleggio cheese into thin slices. This will be used to top the cooked patties.

  2. 7

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the patties, place a slice of Taleggio cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Taleggio Buns

  1. 8

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the gluten-free bread rolls in half and place them on a plate.

  2. 9

    Assemble the Burger

Once the patties are done cooking, place each patty on the bottom half of the gluten-free bun. Top with caramelized onions, and then place the top half of the bun on each slider.
