Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cooking the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F / 190-200°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Sandwich Assembly
- 6
Toast the Buns
While the chicken is resting, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add lettuce leaves, followed by the grilled chicken slices. Top with tomato slices, pickles, and cheddar cheese. Cover with the top half of the bun.
