Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt.

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the cooking time.

Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.

Combine Ingredients
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, drained kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

Simmer the Chili
Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.

Combine Fries and Chili
Once the fries are crispy and the chili has thickened, remove both from heat. Place a generous serving of fries on a plate.

Spoon the chili over the fries, ensuring they are well covered.
