Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized sticks, about 1/4 inch thick, to ensure even cooking.
- 2
Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps in achieving crispiness.
- 3
After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
Frying the Fries
- 4
In a deep frying pan or a heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Carefully add a batch of potato sticks to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 7
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt to taste.
Assembling the Dish
- 8
Place the hot fries on a serving platter.
- 9
Drizzle the truffle oil evenly over the fries.
- 10
Generously sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the fries.
- 11
If desired, chop fresh parsley and sprinkle it on top for added flavor and color.
- 12
Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your Truffle Parmesan Fries!
