Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Once cooked, remove from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into strips.
- 2
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same pot used for the pasta, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Slowly whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until reaching desired consistency.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss until the pasta is well coated. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper to taste.
- 5
Serve
Plate the fettuccine Alfredo and top with sliced grilled chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
