Preparation
- 1
Slice the Baguette
Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces at a diagonal angle.
- 2
Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush each side lightly with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- 3
Prepare the Tomatoes
Slice the aged tomatoes into small cubes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and set aside to let the flavors meld.
- 4
Prepare the Goat Cheese
In a small bowl, crumble the goat cheese with a fork and set aside.
- 5
Prepare the Basil
Wash and gently pat dry the fresh basil leaves. Tear them into smaller pieces for easier topping.
Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Bruschetta
On each toasted baguette slice, spread a layer of crumbled goat cheese followed by a slice of prosciutto. Top with the diced tomatoes and a drizzle of honey.
- 7
Garnish
Finish each bruschetta with a few torn basil leaves on top for garnish.
Serving
- 8
Serve Immediately
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
