Prepare the Tripe
Rinse the beef tripe under cold water. Place it in a large pot, cover it with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 hours until tender, then drain and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Make the Broth
In a large pot, add the beef broth, minced garlic, chopped onion, oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

Combine Ingredients
Add the cooked tripe and hominy to the broth. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
