Carne Asada Ingredients

Method

Carne Asada Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and coat well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once done, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve with cheese enchiladas, guacamole, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
