Broiled Salmon

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat your broiler. Season the salmon fillet with salt, black pepper, and drizzle olive oil on both sides. Place the salmon skin-side down on a broiler-safe pan.

  2. 2

    Broil the Salmon

Broil the salmon for about 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 3

    Make Basil Butter

While the salmon is broiling, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in the chopped fresh basil and remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

In a separate skillet, sauté mixed vegetables over medium heat until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cook the Wild Rice

Prepare wild rice according to package instructions. Usually, this involves boiling it in water or broth for about 45 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once everything is cooked, place the broiled salmon on a plate, drizzle with basil butter, serve alongside sautéed vegetables and a portion of wild rice.
