Prepare the Wild Rice
Rinse wild rice under cold water. In a pot, combine 1 cup of wild rice with 3 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender.

Make the Basil Butter
In a small saucepan, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter over low heat. Add 1 cup of chopped fresh basil leaves and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 2 cups of mixed vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Broil the Fish
Preheat the broiler. Season the 1 lb fresh Alaskan halibut fillet with salt and black pepper. Place it on a baking sheet lined with foil. Broil for about 6-8 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Plate the broiled halibut topped with basil butter, alongside a serving of wild rice and sautéed vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
