Directions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix together the basil oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the salmon is marinating.
- 4
Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- 5
Season the Salmon
Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the blackening seasoning evenly over the top of each fillet.
- 6
Roast the Salmon
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the salmon for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 7
Serve
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
