Honey Buffalo Sauce Ingredients
Honey Buffalo Sauce Preparation
1. Prepare the Cornstarch Slurry
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together until smooth. This will be used to thicken the sauce.
2. Sauté the Vegetables
In a medium saucepan, heat the pure olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced red peppers, white onions, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and translucent.
3. Add the Sauces
Stir in the Cholula hot sauce, coconut milk, agave, apple cider vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
4. Incorporate the Cornstarch Slurry
Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan while stirring continuously. This will help to thicken the sauce.
5. Simmer the Sauce
Once the slurry is added, reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it reaches your desired thickness.
6. Finish with Honey
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the honey, mixing well until it’s fully incorporated into the sauce.
7. Serve
Serve the Honey Buffalo sauce warm with your favorite dishes, such as chicken wings, roasted vegetables, or as a dipping sauce.
