Method
Preparing the Goat Cheese
- 1
Slice the Goat Cheese
Cut the goat cheese into 1/2 inch thick rounds.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Cheese
Dip each slice of goat cheese first into the flour, ensuring it's fully coated. Then dip it into the egg, allowing excess to drip off. Finally, coat it with the bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the Olive Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- 5
Fry the Goat Cheese
Carefully add the breaded goat cheese rounds to the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Preparing the Salad
- 6
Prepare the Greens
In a large salad bowl, add the mixed greens and toss gently.
- 7
- 8
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the salad and toss gently to combine.
Serving
- 9
Plate the Dish
On individual plates, serve a portion of the salad topped with two pieces of the warm goat cheese.
- 10
Garnish
Optionally, drizzle a little more balsamic glaze on top of the goat cheese for added flavor.
