Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides. Set aside.
- 2
Setup the Breading Station
Prepare three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
Breading and Cooking
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Take each chicken breast and coat it in the flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Cook the Chicken
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
Final Assembly
- 5
Add Toppings
Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken breasts, then top with mozzarella cheese evenly.
- 6

Garnish and Serve
If desired, garnish with fresh basil before serving. Enjoy your Parmigiano with a side of pasta or salad!
