Preparation
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 4
Bake with Toppings
In a baking dish, place the fried chicken breasts. Pour marinara sauce over each breast, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
- 5
Serve the Chicken Parmesan
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
