Method

Prepare the Croutons

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Cut the bread slices into cubes, roughly 1 inch in size.

  3. 3

    Season the Croutons

In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.

Make the Dressing

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 6

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 7

    Toss the Salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, and Parmesan cheese.

  3. 8

    Add Dressing

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine, ensuring all ingredients are coated.
