- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Allow to cool.
- 2
Make the filling
In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest until smooth. Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
- 3
Bake the pie
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until completely chilled.
- 4
Prepare the topping
In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled pie. Garnish with additional lime zest if desired.
