Salsiccia e Peppers

Method

Salsiccia e Peppers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage links and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove sausages from the pan and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft. Add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Sausage and Vegetables

Return the cooked sausages to the skillet with the peppers and onions. Stir to combine and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Damiano Polpette

  1. 5

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 6

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 1-1.5 inches in diameter).

  3. 7

    Cook the Meatballs

In a separate skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 8

    Simmer in Marinara Sauce

In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer. Add the browned meatballs and let them simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes.

  5. 9

    Combine with Salsiccia e Peppers

Serve the meatballs in marinara sauce over the sautéed sausage and peppers, ensuring everything is well combined.
