Method

Burgers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, shape the ground beef into four equal patties, pressing your thumb into the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

Cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato and the onion into thin rings. If the pickles are whole, slice them into rounds.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, onion, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard as desired.

Sides

  1. 6

    Prepare the French Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the French fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt.

  2. 7

    Bake the French Fries

Bake the fries in the oven for 20-25 minutes, turning them halfway through until they are golden and crispy.
