Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Protein

Cut the beef or chicken into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the togarashi seasoning and teriyaki glaze, mixing well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces. You can mix and match the vegetables based on your preference.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Skewers

Thread the marinated protein and prepared vegetables onto skewers, alternating between them for a colorful presentation.

  5. 5

    Grill the Skewers

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the protein is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  6. 6

    Serve

Fluff the basmati rice with a fork and serve it on plates. Top with the grilled skewers and drizzle with extra teriyaki glaze if desired.
