Key Lime Pie Filling
Method
Instructions
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool.
Make the Filling
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Gradually add the Key lime juice, Crème de Cacao, Licor 43, and Midori. Mix until well combined.
Bake the Pie
Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours before serving. Slice and serve chilled, optionally garnished with whipped cream and lime slices.
