Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, coat the chicken pieces with tempura batter according to package instructions or your homemade batter recipe.
- 2
Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a deep pan. Once hot, carefully drop in the battered chicken pieces and fry until golden brown, usually about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Prepare the Orange Sauce
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh orange juice, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water. Heat over medium until thickened, stirring continuously.
- 4
Cook the Broccoli
In a separate pot, steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5-6 minutes.
- 5
Combine Everything
In a large bowl, toss together the fried chicken pieces and orange sauce until well coated. Serve over cooked white rice, topped with steamed broccoli, sliced green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
