Rub the ahi tuna steaks with five-spice powder, ensuring they are evenly coated on all sides.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish. Adjust cooking time if you prefer them more well-done.

On each plate, serve a portion of white rice, arrange the sautéed vegetables, and place the seared tuna on top. Drizzle with eel sauce and garnish with fresh basil and sliced green onions.
