Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Heat the milk and melted butter until warm, and add to the dry ingredients. Mix in the eggs until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter and set aside.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a large rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
- 5
- 6
Form the Rolls
Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- 7
Second Rise
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- 8
Bake the Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
- 9
Prepare the Frosting
In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and a splash of milk until smooth.
- 10
Serve
Drizzle warm salted caramel sauce over the rolls and top with cream cheese frosting before serving.
