Warm Butter Cake

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. 2

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the vanilla extract, until just combined.

  6. 6

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm topped with local Cloverleaf vanilla ice cream, fresh fruit, and Oregon berry coulis.
