Method

Preparing the Octopus

  1. 1

    Clean the Octopus

Remove the beak and innards of the octopus and rinse it under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Octopus

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the octopus, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Grilling the Octopus

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Octopus

Remove the octopus from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through. The tentacles should be tender.

  3. 5

    Rest the Octopus

Once grilled, remove the octopus from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing into serving pieces.

Preparing the Citrus Salad

  1. 6

    Prepare the Greens

In a large salad bowl, add the mixed greens.

  2. 7

    Add Citrus Segments

Add the orange and grapefruit segments to the salad bowl.

  3. 8

    Add Onion and Feta

Thinly slice the red onion and crumble the feta cheese over the salad.

  4. 9

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the salad and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

On a large serving platter, arrange the grilled octopus and serve alongside the citrus salad. Enjoy your meal!
