Directions

1

Prepare the Beef

Remove the beef tenderloin from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps ensure even cooking.

2

Season the Beef

Generously season the beef tenderloin with salt and black pepper on all sides.

3

Sear the Beef

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef tenderloin and sear it for about 4-5 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.

4

Add Aromatics

Add the garlic cloves and rosemary to the skillet. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the beef with the oil and juices.

5

Finish with Butter

Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Baste the beef with the melted butter for extra flavor.

6

Check Temperature

Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be about 130°F (54°C).

7

Rest and Serve

Remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
