Method

Cooking Pork Chops

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Remove the sirloin pork chops from the refrigerator and allow them to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Chops

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Rub this seasoning mix evenly over both sides of each pork chop.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Pork Chops

Add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  5. 5

    Add Fresh Herbs

In the last minute of cooking, add the fresh rosemary to the pan, allowing it to infuse the oil with flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Chops

Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking Sides (optional)

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

While the pork chops are resting, wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into quarters.

  2. 8

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the quartered potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  3. 9

    Sauté the Green Beans

In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

  4. 10

    Serve Together

Plate the pork chops with a side of sautéed green beans and boiled potatoes for a complete meal.
