Preparation of Meat Sauce

Cook the meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

Make the sauce
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 15-20 minutes.

Mix the cheeses
In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).

Layer the ingredients
In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread a portion of the cheese mixture over the noodles, then add another layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles topped with remaining meat sauce.

Add the topping
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top layer of meat sauce.
Baking

Bake the lasagna
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool and serve
Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
