Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
Making the Alfredo Sauce

Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, then gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

Season the Sauce
Add grated nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to the sauce, adjusting to taste. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes, thickening slightly.
Combining Everything

Mix the Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly.

Plate the fettuccine Alfredo and top with sliced chicken. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
