Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2
Combine Crust Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Form the Crust
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan evenly. You can use the bottom of a measuring cup to press it down firmly.
- 4
Bake the Crust
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then remove and allow to cool while preparing the filling.
Filling Preparation
- 5
Prepare Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add in the granulated sugar and continue to beat until fully incorporated. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
- 7
Incorporate Eggs
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 8
Add Flour
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
- 9
Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- 10
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- 11
Cool and Chill
Once done, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
