Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Begin by placing the boneless ham in a large roasting pan. Make sure to pat it dry with paper towels to help the glaze adhere better.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and ground cloves. Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved and the ingredients are well blended. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Apply the Glaze

Pour half of the glaze over the ham, ensuring it's well coated. Reserve the other half for later.

  4. 4

    Add Water

Pour water into the bottom of the roasting pan to create moisture during cooking.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. 6

    Roast the Ham

Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil, ensuring it is tightly sealed to keep the moisture in. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours.

  3. 7

    Glaze Again

After 1.5 hours, remove the foil and brush the ham with the reserved glaze. Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue to roast for another 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Finishing

  1. 8

    Rest the Ham

Once cooked, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  2. 9

    Serve

Slice the ham and serve it warm, drizzled with any remaining glaze.
