Pork Chops
Method
Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork Chops
Pat the center-cut pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides of each chop with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, ensuring an even coating.
- 2
Marinate
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, and chopped fresh rosemary. Place the seasoned pork chops in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Pan
Heat a cast-iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot before adding the pork chops.
- 4
Cook the Pork Chops
Remove the pork chops from the marinade and allow any excess to drip off. Place the chops in the hot skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on one side until they develop a golden-brown crust.
- 5
Flip and Finish Cooking
Flip the pork chops and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 6
Rest the Chops
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and place them on a plate. Cover with aluminum foil and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
